Task

The main goal of the project was to create a multifunctional website that would comprehensively represent the gallery's activities. The site needed to not only showcase artists' works but also provide convenient access to information about them, allow engagement with extensive textual materials, and enable event registration, all while maintaining focus on the visual aspect of art.

/

Where We Started

At the initial stage, we analyzed the needs of different user groups. We considered the interests of collectors looking for information about available works, art enthusiasts interested in events and meetings, as well as researchers and critics studying analytical materials. Special attention was paid to new audiences who are just getting acquainted with contemporary art.

/

Prototype

The site structure was developed considering all areas of gallery activities. The foundation consisted of the main page, events and special projects sections, works catalog, and artists' personal pages. Special attention was paid to the "In the Artist's Studio" section and publications with articles.

/

Typography

In designing textual content, the key solution was the use of magazine-style layout, which ensured comfortable reading of extensive materials. We carefully worked through all aspects of typography: from optimal line length and line spacing to clear heading hierarchy, achieving an ideal balance between text and visual elements.

/

Palette

The website's color solution is built on a restrained palette with a light background that doesn't compete with artwork images. The minimalist approach to color allowed emphasis on content, using additional colors only for important interface elements.

Final Product

As a result, we created a fully functional website with intuitive navigation through the header and clear section structure. Special attention was paid to the ease of transitioning between related materials. The content section includes artist galleries, detailed biographical materials, analytical articles, and event announcements. All modern web development requirements were considered in the technical implementation. The site received responsive design, optimized image loading, and a convenient event registration system. Magazine-style layout ensured comfortable reading of long texts.

/

Marketing Result

The developed website successfully fulfills its main task – comprehensive representation of the gallery's activities. It provides convenient access to information about all areas of the art bureau's work, offers comfortable conditions for reading extensive materials, and effectively showcases artists' works. Thanks to its well-thought-out structure and design, the site creates a holistic representation of Marchand Gallery's activities, contributing to brand development in the contemporary art market.
